The Cost of Standing Still:

-

Lost to turnover & disengagement so far this year per your team of 100, at your current rate

Your people's soft skills determine whether they get promoted, trusted, and given bigger work - especially now, as AI reshapes what "valuable" means. See how investing in soft skills pays for itself many times over.

How we handle productivity - the softest stream

Engaged teams are 21-26% more productive (Gallup).

How we turn that % into dollars

-
attributed (our judgment)

-
per year, full
The 40% attribution is our conservative judgment, not a measured figure - which is exactly why we measure it directly over your engagement. This full-realization figure is then phased by the embedding curve.

A productivity gain has to be valued against something. We use fully-loaded cost - the floor on an employee's output value, since a firm pays at least what it receives.

Revenue per employee overstates - it reflects capital and scale, not one person's output (a bank's revenue rides on its balance sheet). Profit per employee understates - thin-margin but vital sectors like education and healthcare would show almost no value, which is clearly wrong. Fully-loaded cost is the honest middle, in absolute terms as well as in theory.

Is a detailed analysis worth it for your situation?

This calculator gives you a benchmark. Whether a full, rigorous analysis would add real value depends on your situation - and that's what a 30-minute call is for. The call is free, with no obligation. If a detailed analysis would help, we run it against your actual data - a Monte Carlo simulation producing an ROI range with confidence intervals - and email you the results within one business week, for a modest fee scoped to your situation.

Data Sources & Methodology

Method: Status-quo cost = avoidable turnover + disengagement, over 3 years. Benefit = cost avoided plus productivity, realized on an Ebbinghaus embedding curve - a one-time investment embeds then fades without reinforcement, while ongoing investment sustains and compounds it (Melin & Correll, 2022; supported by Joie-La Marle et al., 2023, on training-driven performance gains).
